"K"ommunity
Involvement in Disability Schooling is a non-profit family advocacy
agency devoted to furthering and facilitating communication between
families facing disability related issues and the schools and
agencies that serve them. Founded in 2002, our team of volunteers is
comprised primarily of college students majoring in special
education related fields. Our strong and diverse network of
professional advisors and consultants aide our advocates as they
strive to be the voice for those individuals who cannot speak for
themselves.
We
at "K"ommunity Involvement in Disability Schooling
strongly believe in the potential and ability of the children of our
future. It is our purpose to ensure an equal, quality education. Our
advocates seek a learning environment that is comfortable, safe, and
advantageous in order to ensure that every child is given every
opportunity to succeed.
Our
services include: advocacy, parent education, agency networking,
professional development, and guest instruction. We invite you to
explore our website and learn more about us. Please feel free to
contact us as we
are always ready to assist.
